POR's flagship program, "POR 'Kats", began as a small way to provide assistance to families during the holiday season, specifically those with young children. In addition to presents for the families, the greatest gift we have been able to give is the community of support and hope.
Although starting at the Holidays, the relationships formed through this program extend beyond the season and it has been our goal to not only help and assist the families during the most difficult of times, but to continue to be there when the initial shock and reality of this disease begins to dwindle. The families we have been connected with are truly amazing, and we hope that we are able to grow this program with your family!
Our fundraising philosophy at POR is to give hope when things seem hopeless, and to bring joy when it is most necessary. We focus on families that are struggling with the realities they never imagined facing. Our goal is to make a direct and personal connection with each family and the money raised goes towards our outreach programs and to spread the awareness of pancreatic cancer. We continue to look for new ways to provide supportive services throughout the different stages of treatment, recovery, and hardships related to our families’ needs.
